Tales of the Uninvited is 12 tracks, which are music of faeries, not humans. This is why the lyrics are not in English, nor in any other human language - but in Laoris, the language of faeries. Only Faeries Stole Bridget is in English, because this song reflects the World of Faerie from the human point of view.
Sister Simplicity was composed on March 21 - 22, 2002 (Winter, I Saw You Weep, A Red, Red Rose, To My Sister, Juliet’s Beauty, Nothing Will Die), first week of September 2003 (other tracks).
It was initially composed for voice and four instruments: piano, violin, cello and flute. This lineup has been preserved in Winter, I Saw You Weep, A Red, Red Rose, To My Sister, Juliet’s Beauty, and Nothing Will Die. However, later the bassoon and clarinet were added in: The Dole of the King’s Daughter, Once Kings, Green are the Rashes and Twilight; and just a dash in: The Green Bowl, Autumn and Summer. Also, drums and double bass have been added in The Dole of the King’s Daughter.
Elvenmusic was inspired on the one hand by JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and other books by him, and on the other hand by Brian Froud's and Alan Lee's book called Faeries. This album (dedicated half to the world of Faerie, half to Tolkien's elves) is the first part of the three. The second part is dedicated entirely to The Lord of the Rings, the third entirely to modern faeries.
